No. 294: Tuck-pussy Drive

On the coastal road, I sat in the driver’s seat and rolled down the windows all the way. The wind blew through my hair, and it felt even better than I expected. Today, I decided to go for a drive dressed in a slightly embarrassing outfit. Every time I stopped at a traffic light, I felt like I was about to make eye contact with the driver in the car next to me, and my heart was pounding. But I just couldn’t get enough of that thrill, so at the next intersection, I found myself pretending to gaze out the window again. Every time I see the vast blue of the ocean spread out before me, I start to feel like this outfit isn’t so bad after all. Every time I step on the gas, my body gets pressed against the seat, and being conscious of my own appearance feels refreshing. If you see someone in a weird outfit in the car next to you, that’s probably me. You can laugh if you want, but I hope you’ll feel the wind with me. Maybe I’ll go for another drive at sunset next time. #CoastalDrive
