On the park lawn, after making sure no one was around, I tried doing that “woof-woof pose.” I got down on all fours, stretching and bending my limbs, and even holding my hands up like ears. Even as I wondered to myself, “What am I doing?” once I started, I just couldn’t stop. I’d look up and glance around, worried someone might be watching. Even though I turned bright red with embarrassment, I found myself crawling around again. The feel of the grass against my palms was so pleasant—it felt like I’d truly become a different creature. I’d planned to run away immediately if anyone saw me, but since no one came, I kept going further and further. Finally, I stood up, did a little spin, and called it a day. That mix of embarrassment and a sense of freedom—I’ll definitely want to do it again. If you see someone acting weird in the park, it’s probably me. Please just smile and wave as you walk by.
