I chose a public parking lot during a time when there were few cars. Today, again, I was embarrassed, standing on a parking sign or sitting on a parking stop. Every time the engine sound approached, I panicked, wondering, "What if someone saw me?" but all the drivers seemed busy looking for parking spaces. That indifference actually felt pleasant, and I became bolder and bolder. I tried balancing on the white lines, or slowly walking between cars. If someone saw me, I wouldn't run away anymore. In fact, I had the composure to enjoy that gaze. Was parking lots always this free? Next time, let's change the time and try parking at night.
