I noticed those patent peep toe 120mm heels in size 36 the very first time she wore them, and I have never quite recovered from the effect. My wife noticed my reaction too, and over time she learned exactly how useful those heels could be. Whenever she wants something expensive, needs a special favor, or has a rather ambitious idea for our future, sooner or later the heels come out. She slips them on without saying much, knowing perfectly well that the glossy patent finish and those towering heels will get my attention. Then she walks into the room as though nothing unusual is happening, while I already know that some kind of negotiation is about to begin. She never needs to rush the question. She lets the heels do most of the persuading first. By the time she finally tells me what she wants, my determination to be sensible has usually disappeared. She knows they are my weakness, I know she uses them deliberately, and somehow that has become part of the fun.
